The Blog

why “all things”?

“All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.”

I loved the idea of “all things” for a few reasons. First, because I have always had an interest in so many areas. I’ve always felt drawn to a variety of things and have loved teaching myself something new. Secondly, I have always strived to focus on how all things relate back to the Lord. I have learned to use my gifts and talents in areas that I didn’t think were important, but I’ve learned how those things can be used for His glory.

I want to use the blog to talk about ways to try all things with confidence. I hope we can also use this to see how our gifts/talents can be used for the Kingdom.

It won’t always feel like we can use all things for good, in fact I’m sure there will be a lot of failures and hard days along the way. But that is another thing that I hope for in “all things”, that we can share those burdens and continue to focus on the next thing.

I am SO excited for the next thing, which for me is this blog 🙂 As I’m writing this I haven’t even shared this page yet. It’ll take me a little while to build up the courage to share this with friends and family. But, at that point, I hope it’ll encourage and inspire another person to do the same.

The project you’ve been thinking about but haven’t been able to figure out where to start? Let’s do it!! The dress you’ve been thinking about making but aren’t confident in your skills? Let’s figure out how to get it done! Thinking about buying a house but don’t know where to start? Let me tell you about our crazy experience…

I truly am so nervous for this. It’s been something I’ve wanted and thought about for so long… I have always wanted to use my gifts and my interests together, and I feel like this blog and sharing through other media is a great way to do so. So join me while I try “all things” and everything that’s to come along with it.
